Dawn at Uragh Stone Circle, Beara Peninsula, Co. Kerry
Gallery Edition: Limited to 75 in series of two sizes on heavyweight fine art paper.
Artist Edition: Limited to 15. Large format fine art print float-mounted in wooden tray frame. Prices on request.
Autumnal dawn at Uragh Stone Circle, overlooking Lake Inchiquin in one of the rugged mountainous valleys of the Beara Peninsula, Co. Kerry, Ireland.
The typically small five stone variant of the Bronze Age stone circle can be found across the counties of Cork and Kerry but few are as dramatically located as here at Uragh. Towering above the waist-high circle stones, and set on its NE-SW axis, is an enormous monolith over three metres tall. While this circle is located on open ground between two lakes and opposite a large waterfall, another, larger multiple stone circle featuring a centre boulder burial is set in a more secluded location higher on the valley slopes, just over 800 metres away.
Some may remember a similar image in this series was chosen for the cover story of the Winter 2019 edition of Irish Arts Review.
Note: This photograph has been used in other media, magazine covers and articles. A small number, less than 10, were created for special orders. The number of limited editions in the print run has been reduced accordingly.
Print only on heavyweight fine art cotton rag paper with white border. Sizing relates to paper size.
